What are your SERVICES LIKE?

Services at South Parkersburg Baptist are filled with sound biblical teaching and engaging worship. We are an intergenerational church family that celebrates folks of all ages to PROCLAIM and PURSUE the Kingdom of God and PARTICIPATE in what God is doing in the world.

What does this mean for YOU?

We are passionate about helping people find Jesus and experiencing NEW LIFE in Him. At SPBC, we celebrate with two worship services every Sunday morning (9:00 & 10:30 am). During each of these service times, we have several Classes and Small Groups that meet in our adjoining facilities. Our earlier service (9:00 am) is led by our Sanctuary Choir as they share a blended style of musical numbers; some modern pieces integrated with classic songs. The later service (10:30 am) is led by our Praise Band that shares with us a more contemporary style of music. After we spend time worshipping in song, we invite attendees to participate in the offering. This is not required, but is always very much appreciated, as tithes are essential to support community service projects and partnerships, mission trips, and church maintenance. There are tons of Ministry Teams in action Sunday morning that make our gatherings are a positive and supportive experience.

We are incredibly invested in meeting you right where you are. We have ages that span a multitude of generations that either dress more casually or in their ‘Sunday best.’ Either is welcomed. Experiencing Jesus happens just the same. We want you to feel at home as you experience Jesus and be inspired to share that with your community outside these church walls.

What else is going on?

Our Children’s Ministry gathers every Sunday at 9:00 and 10:30 am. We provide separate instruction each hour, and welcome attendance during both services if parents desire to attend a class AND service for the morning. Our classrooms are located on the bottom floor in the facility adjoining the sanctuary. There is access from the upstairs, however, many families park in the back parking lot and enter through the back doors in order to register and find a home for their children during the worship service. Our team will be there to greet you upon entry to direct you to the right class. We are dedicated to providing quality teaching and experiences for the children and families at SPBC. But wait, there’s more! We also meet every Wednesday at 6:00 pm for group classes. *enter through lower parking lot of church.

Our Student Ministry meets every Sunday at 9:00 am in the youth center across from the back parking lot. There, they are divided into Mid-High (6th - 8th) and Senior-High (9th - 12th), and are led by Student Ministry Leaders to study God’s word in an interactive environment. We always welcome new students. Each group is then invited to attend the 10:30 worship service in the main sanctuary. We also meet every Wednesday at 6:00 pm for worship and study. Need to eat?
