t SPBC, we have recurring opportunities for service as well as temporary ones. Don’t see anything that fits? Check in with one of our pastors or staff and let them know!
Be a Greeter!
Do you have an outgoing personality? Do you like to welcome people as they come to church? If you do, we have an opportunity for you to serve as a greeter! Each Sunday morning, our greeters welcome people to worship by giving them a smile, a handshake and a bulletin at one of the doors to the sanctuary. Sound fun? If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please see Pastor Joe.
Do you have a heart for meeting people’s needs in the community? The Community Ministry Team works to inform the church about community needs as well as to develop projects that the church can tackle as a whole. We’ve collected coats for kids during the winter, backpacks for back-to-schoolers and assisted in a building project for a family in need. Talk to one of our pastors or staff. This community could be waiting for someone just like you.
How would you like to serve in a ministry that welcomes people as they come to church? Our goal as First Impressions people is to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our worshipers and community groups who use our facility. First Impressions also provides a warm welcome and help with visitors before, during and after services and works with our Security Team. The Ushers of our First Impressions Team provide assistance in seating individuals in the sanctuary, receive the offering and friendship registers and provide assistance at community events and programs. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please see Pastor Joe.
How would you like to serve in a ministry that helps people that appreciate you? That is what happens when you work with our Seniors, the Cornerstones of our church! Our goal is to provide care for our shut-ins at home or in a nursing facility through once-a-month visitation and meal delivery and to encourage our adult Sunday School and Connection Groups to keep in touch with their appointed shut-ins throughout the year. We also provide birthday parties for those who are 85, 90, 95, 100, etc. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please see Pastor Joe.
How many medical personnel do we have out there? Would you like to serve in a ministry that helps people physically, emotionally and spiritually? Our goal is to provide medical assistance to church attendees through emergency care, blood and glucose readings and educational groups such as diabetes that meet throughout the year. We also provide these services for the Community Picnic, Fall Festival and other special events. If you are a medical person and would like to participate in this important ministry, please see Pastor Joe.
